About Aurora

Who are we?

Aurora Energy is a Tasmanian Government-owned electricity distribution and retail company. Formed in July 1998, our purpose is to see the Tasmanian community prosper from our efforts, while our vision is to be the company most welcome into people’s homes and businesses.

We provide a 24-hour service to more than 255,000 Tasmanian customers – as well as to business customers in New South Wales, Victoria, South Australia, the ACT and Queensland.
