Looking after our work mates, families, the community and ourselves is at the centre of Aurora’s approach to safety, health & environment. Our commitment is to make work – and life – safer and more fulfilling and to enhance the health and wellbeing of all employees. Safety, health and environment (SHE) teams have been embedded in each division (hyperlink to Our Structure) of Aurora to provide a clear focus on these activities and to identify and respond to areas of concern.
Three policy statements outline our principles and how they will be realised, providing a framework for the business.
These have been continually evolving over the past seven years to reflect changes in methodology, procedures and reporting requirements.
A copy of the policies was given to every employee in February 1999. The policies are reviewed annually and are prominantly displayed in every workplace.
