What is Networking Tasmania?

Networking Tasmania II (NTII) Overview

NTII is an outsourced, integrated, data communications network for the Tasmanian Government.

NTII provides a range of proactively managed end-to-end wide area network services, including managed network services, connection services, Internet gateway and filtering services and Government directory services (NES).

Aurora Energy Pty Ltd is an authorised NTII provider for the supply of Dark Fibre and managed network extension services.

Aurora Energy’s Ultra High-Speed services are designed to meet the needs of customer requiring the following solutions;

  • Dark Fibre Network Extension Services
  • Managed Ethernet Network Extension Services

Who can use NTII Services?

State Government Customers
State Government inner budget department and all other State Government owned companies including GBEs and the following type of entities:

Where approved by the Contract Authority, an eligible non-Government organisation carrying out business in, or related to, Tasmania, which requires an NTII service.

“Eligible non-Government Body” means a body (including a private school), which is:

  • Directly or indirectly, partially or entirely, funded by the commonwealth, or the State; and/or
  • Non-profit making

Who Manages My Services?

In all cases NTII services are managed by the dedicated Aurora Energy Customer Care Centre which provides a single point of contact for day to day issues such as adds, moves, changes, faults and billing enquiries, or simply advice.
