West Coast power upgrade
Power supplies to Zeehan and Strahan will be interrupted in early May in order to complete an upgrade of electrical infrastructure in the area.

An interruption to power supplies will affect Aurora Energy customers on the Lyell Highway between Queenstown and Strahan, including the Strahan residential area, between 9am and 3pm on Tuesday, 4 May.

The work, which will improve the reliability of power supplies to the Strahan area, includes urgent replacement of poles and towers, vegetation clearing and maintenance of the electrical feeder.

Power will also be interrupted to Zeehan on Wednesday, 5 May, between 9am and 3pm for vegetation clearing to improve reliability of supply.

All customers affected by the outage will receive an outage notification at least four days in advance of the work.

Aurora thanks customers in advance for their patience and apologises for any inconvenience that may result from the work to improve services in these areas.
