Power pricing clarification
References in a document obtained under the Freedom of Information Act noting recently approved electricity price increases in New South Wales should not be misinterpreted as a predictor of power price movements in Tasmania.

The increases approved in NSW were on the public record and were referenced in the briefing material as an example of price increases interstate, which have been trending well ahead of inflation.

Aurora is not in the business of predicting electricity price increases, which are independently determined by the Tasmanian Economic Regulator and Australian Energy Regulator.

Aurora Energy does not pre-empt pricing decisions by the independent Regulators.
