Renewable energy

Renewable energy is energy that is generated from renewable resources, such as the sun, wind and micro hydro.

If you generate your own energy, you can sell what you don’t use back into the grid (back to Aurora). We pay the same amount that we charge for our energy supply. How much you send back into the grid depends on how much you use – and when you use it.

Renewable energy grid connection

Net metering enables customers to use Aurora's grid like a large battery, drawing energy when they need it and sending it out when they have an excess.
