Aurora Energy wins iAward for PAYG+

Aurora Energy has been recognised for its work in delivering an innovative new way for customers to manage their energy at the 2019 TasICT Annual Awards on Friday night.

The energy retailer won the Australian Information Industry Association (AIIA) iAward in the ‘Public Sector and Government’ category for its development of Aurora Pay As You Go Plus (Aurora PAYG+).

Aurora PAYG+ is among the first product of its kind in Australia utilising advanced meters to give customers visibility of their daily energy usage in dollar terms, helping them understand how they are using energy and take action to control their energy costs.

“Our focus was to develop a digital product offering to enable Tasmanians to better understand their energy costs and conveniently be able to manage them,” CEO Rebecca Kardos said.

“Aurora Pay As You Go+ is an example of how we continue to listen to our customers and we’re excited about designing more innovative products and services to meet their needs.”

The Public Sector and Government iAward is presented for outstanding ICT innovation dedicated to delivering improved government service delivery or other digital initiatives for the public.

The iAwards were presented in conjunction with the TasICT Awards, of which Aurora Energy was also a finalist in the category of ‘Best Customer Service or Solution in an ICT Business’.
