Type 4 (Advanced Meters) are only dialled for a short period of time once a day and use the same frequency as a mobile phone. We also advise customers who choose to have comms removed from their meter that it will restrict your ability to select certain energy products in the future.
Our team can arrange for the removal of the comms from your advanced meter however please be aware there may be ongoing costs to do so.
There will be a charge of $173.18 to arrange for someone to attend your property to physically remove your communications. Then there may be an ongoing fee every 3 months for someone to come out and read your meter of $80.81 *
