Late Payments

Aurora Energy has a late payment fee of $5 plus interest for those customers who do not pay their accounts in full by the due date and have not contacted Aurora Energy prior to that date to agree on a deferred payment arrangement.

If a late fee is incurred, it will appear on the statement for the following quarter. Overdue accounts for Standard Retail Contract customers may be charged interest that reflects the 90-day Bank Accepted Bill rate (plus 6%), as set by the Reserve Bank of Australia for the relevant quarter. 

Customers who are exempt from the fee

Please note, if you do not pay your bill by the due date you may be at risk of:

  • disconnection
  • your credit rating being negatively affected
  • legal action.

If you are unable to pay your account in full by the due date, call our Customer Service Centre on 1300 13 2003 to arrange a mutually agreeable payment arrangement and avoid the late payment fee. Alternatively you can request a payment extension online.
