Aurora Energy Shines at 2024 Financial Review Energy Awards

Aurora Energy along with Maythorpe (aurora+ development partner) was a finalist for the Customer Experience Award, celebrating exceptional customer service and engagement through innovative tech solutions such as aurora+ and Power Hours. Although the award was won by Endeavour Energy (NSW), Aurora Energy proudly ranked among the top five finalists in the country, marking an incredible achievement.

The Australian Financial Review Energy Awards are designed to recognise and celebrate excellence, innovation, service, and achievements within the energy industry. Open to all organisations operating in and/or servicing the Australian energy sector, these awards highlight the businesses and individuals driving the future of energy.

Representing Aurora Energy at the event was Will Barbour, Chief Customer Officer, and Leroy Pereira, Digital Product Specialist.

“We’re as much in the business of energy education and literacy building as we are simply being an energy retailer,” said Will Barbour.

“The customer can look at their app and see that they’ve been using a bit of power in peak times, and then they kind of join the dots and think, ‘Oh, what was I doing during that time?’,” added Leroy Pereira. “If they can shift that usage into an off-peak time, they use exactly the same amount of electricity but it’s cheaper because of the time they use it in.”

Aurora Energy’s recognition at the Financial Review Energy Awards underscores the company’s commitment to innovation and customer service in the Australian energy sector.
