Trevor Danos

Trevor joined Aurora Energy as its Chair in November 2024 and has made significant contributions across a wide array of industries over his extensive career. With a strong background in law, economics, and science, Trevor has established himself as a senior, experienced, and highly respected company director and strategic adviser for numerous government and private organisations.  

Keryn Nylander

Tasmanian born and educated, Keryn has worked in the Tasmanian media industry for three decades both as a communications professional and award-winning journalist. She is a former State political reporter for both print and electronic media before rising to be the Head of News for WIN Television Tasmania – the first female for the network in Australia. 

Janine Healey

Janine was appointed to the Board of Aurora Energy in November 2022 and has a deep understanding of corporate governance in state-owned corporations, particularly in roles at Hydro Tasmania and now TasRail, and has fulfilled directorship roles for more than 20 years.

Kellie Benda

Kellie Benda was appointed to Aurora Energy's Board of directors in November 2023. Kellie has a background in law and investment banking, and has a deep understanding of the energy sector having held various senior executive positions at AGL and Origin Energy.

Rhys Edwards

Rhys was appointed as a director of Aurora Energy on 25 November 2022. He has a strong background in governance, energy policy, leadership, major project facilitation, social policy and economic development. 

Aurora Energy welcomes new Chair

AURORA Energy CEO Nigel Clark has today welcomed Trevor Danos as the company’s new Chair. As a senior, and highly respected commercial lawyer, company director, and strategic advisor, Mr Danos brings with him valuable experience in a wide range of areas and industries.

Chief Executive Officer - Nigel Clark

Nigel Clark was appointed Chief Executive Officer of Aurora Energy in October 2022. 

Nigel has more than two decades' energy sector experience across the financial, strategic and operational roles.

Chief People Officer - Nicole Hunt

Nic joined the Aurora Energy team in 2020 and as the Chief People Officer, leads the people strategy, culture and workplace ambitions to enable Aurora Energy to realise their purpose, vision and strategy. 

Chief Financial Officer – James Chisholm

James leads the Commercial Services business unit which covers a number of portfolios including Strategy and Commercial Analysis, Commercial and Industrial Customers, Finance and Middle Office.

Company Secretary/General Counsel – Oliver Cousland

Oliver joined Aurora Energy in 2014 and is responsible for leading the Governance business unit. A lawyer with over 15 years experience he has a Bachelor of Commerce and Law and is a Graduate of the Australian of Company Directors. 

Acting Chief Digital Transformation Officer - Jane Raffaele

Jane joined Aurora Energy in 2018 and currently serves as the Acting Chief Digital Transformation Officer. In this role, she leads the Digital Transformation and Operations team, overseeing digital strategy, project delivery, and technology services and operations. 

Chief Operating Officer - Alistair Burke

Alistair joined Aurora Energy in 2016 and is responsible for leading the Customer Success team, encompassing frontline customer operations, credit management, business improvement, resource planning and reporting, customer advocacy and metering delivery.

Chief Customer Officer - Will Barbour

Will joined Aurora Energy in 2021 as part of our Senior Leadership Team. In recognition of his impact, leadership, and our heightened focus on our customers’ energy experience, he joined our Aurora Leadership team in late 2024, where he leads our Customer Experience Team.
