Trevor Danos

Trevor joined Aurora Energy as its Chair in November 2024 and has made significant contributions across a wide array of industries over his extensive career. With a strong background in law, economics, and science, Trevor has established himself as a senior, experienced, and highly respected company director and strategic adviser for numerous government and private organisations.  

With his expertise spanning across finance, infrastructure, aviation, transport, logistics, defence, electricity, regulated businesses, health, housing, social innovation, privatisations, circular economy, procurement reform, and science and innovation. 

Trevor was a senior lawyer renowned as one of Australia's leaders in his field. He has tertiary qualifications in law, economics, and science, which have underpinned his diverse professional endeavours.  

Trevor currently chairs the Northern Sydney Local Health District and sits on the boards of Endeavour Energy and the privatised NSW Land Registry Office. Additionally, he chairs the NSW Treasury Social Investment Expert Advisory Group and the NSW Government Community Housing Industry Council.  

Trevor's past board roles include directorships at NSW Circular, Summer Housing, the Civil Aviation Safety Authority, and TransGrid. His board experience is extensive, covering chairing and membership of Audit and Risk, Regulatory, Remuneration, and WHS committees. 

In recognition of his significant service to the community and various professional sectors, Trevor was made a Member of the Order of Australia on Australia Day 2014. His career reflects a dedication to excellence and innovation, making a profound impact across multiple fields.
