Aurora's 12 days of giving

The festive season is a time when many of our local charities see increased demand, so they benefit from a helping hand from businesses just like Aurora.

This year we asked our local team to vote for their 12 favourite Tassie charities to receive a donation of $1000 each.

The recipients are:

Variety Children's Charity supports kids and families who are facing many challenges through sickness, disadvantage or living with additional needs.Their work allows kids to gain mobility, to get out and about in the community, to communicate, achieve independence and increase their self-esteem.

Hobart City Mission meets people facing hardship and homelessness where they are, when help is most needed. With the help of their supporters City Mission look for new ways to help people through innovative programs and solutions, catching people who may otherwise fall through the gaps.

Guide Dogs Tasmania is the only state-based provider of Guide Dog services in the community, with local instructors available to provide ongoing support and aftercare

Cystic Fibrosis Tasmania is an organization that provides support and advocacy for the CF community in Tasmania1. Tasmania has the highest incidence of Cystic Fibrosis in Australia, and the second-highest incidence of the condition in the world, behind Ireland.
