Chief Customer Officer - Will Barbour

Will joined Aurora Energy in 2021 as part of our Senior Leadership Team. In recognition of his impact, leadership, and our heightened focus on our customers’ energy experience, he joined our Aurora Leadership team in late 2024, where he leads our Customer Experience Team.

At its core, Will’s role is about making energy easy for Tasmanians. This is achieved through product management for residential and small-medium business customers, as well as partnerships activity, marketing, and customer communications.

After graduating from the University of Tasmania with a Bachelor of Science – Bachelor of Commerce, Will has worked in distribution, marketing, sales, digital development and product management overseas and here in Tasmania. More recently, he has continued his development through the Institute for Strategic Leadership and the Australian Institute of Company Directors.

As a proud Tasmanian from the state’s north, Will brings a strong customer and community focus. He is a Board member of Tasmania’s No Interest Loan Scheme (NILS), an Aurora Energy community partner, who support low-income Tasmanians to get safe, fair, and affordable loans. If Will’s not spending time with his young family, you’ll find him with a backpack on, bush walking and fly fishing for trout in the Tasmanian highlands.
