General Manager People and Commercial Services - Kate Gillies

Kate leads the People and Commercial Services business unit which is responsible for undertaking the people experience, finance, commercial analysis, strategy, and policy functions for Aurora Energy. The business unit completes activities such as strategy development and execution, corporate planning, strategic and energy risk, financial planning and analysis, payments, financial accounting, energy and network settlements, people talent and skills, culture and engagement and work, health and safety.

Kate has worked in the Tasmanian energy industry for over 15 years and joined Aurora Energy in 2017. Kate has experience across a range of areas including strategy, accounting, commercial analysis, finance, risk management, stakeholder engagement, and government policy.  Kate holds a Bachelor of Economics, a Graduate Certificate of Applied Finance, and is a Certified Practicing Accountant.
