Janine was appointed to the Board of Aurora Energy in November 2022 and has a deep understanding of corporate governance in state-owned corporations, particularly in roles at Hydro Tasmania and now TasRail, and has fulfilled directorship roles for more than 20 years.

Janine has over 30 years experience in Chartered Accounting including 15 years at KPMG and 8 years at Deloitte. She joined Ruddicks in 2003 and specialises in succession planning for both individuals and businesses, and the provision of high level taxation, commercial and strategic advice.

Janine has held various commercial directorships including Tasmanian Railways Pty Ltd (2017 to November 2022) where she was Chair of the Audit, Risk and Compliance Committee, member of the People Safety, Health and Environment and the Major Projects Committees, Hydro Tasmania (2002 to 2015) including Chair of the Audit Committee and member of the HR Remuneration and Business Risk Committees; Tasmania Electronic Commerce Centre Ltd (TECC) (2005 to 2012); Port of Launceston Pty Ltd (2000 to 2005).

She is currently a Director of Fermentation Tasmania Ltd which is building a fermentation hub in the West Tamar Valley, Football Tasmania Ltd, Treasurer of the Unconformity a West Coast based Arts Organisation and provides governance assistance to a number of not for profit bodies.

Janine holds Bachelor of Business (Accounting), FCA, Chartered Tax Adviser, Fellowship of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
