Passwords and Security in aurora+

Session time outs and Multi-factor Authentication (MFA)

Session timeouts help to keep your personal data secure. Every now and then you'll be prompted to re-enter your log-in details.

MFA adds an extra layer of security to your aurora+ account and requires two or more verification factors to gain access the app. For aurora+, this means we’ll send you a verification code to your mobile or email.

How it works

Every 30 days or so, when you log-in to aurora+, we’ll prompt you to enter a verification code which is sent to you via SMS or email.

When you get the first prompt to enter a verification code, you’ll be asked to nominate a preferred mobile number or email, you’ll only be asked to do this once per device.

If you wish to change the way in which you receive the code (via sms or email) you'll need to contact us so that we can reset your preference.
