If you are the Aurora Energy account holder for the property (you're the one paying the power bill), it is entirely your choice which energy product you switch to and this includes aurora+.
If you need an advanced meter installed to access aurora+ or change plans, we'll organise that with you.
Some people like to let their landlord or property manager know just to let them know what is happening (many actually see it as a benefit to the property!), but they don't need to give you permission.
In fact, we're rolling out advanced meters across the state as part of national legislation. As a result of the new national metering rules all customers will, over time, move to an advanced meter.

For most customers, there is no charge to have an advanced meter installed, however in some cases, extra work may be required before the meter can be exchanged safely.
