What does Goldilocks and your hot water cylinder have in common?

Published on

They both like the temperature to be juuuuuust-right.

As an ex-footy player and current local footy club president, Neil knows the value of a hot shower after a big game. Nothing beats washing the game off and steaming up the bathroom.

But Neil also knows the value of getting the temperature just right.

That’s because hot water tanks can be one of the biggest expenses Tasmanian households face on their electricity bill. And as an Aurora Energy team member, Neil is always on the lookout for tricks to help his friends and family get their electricity bill down.

Set your hot water cylinder’s thermostat to the recommended temperature, usually between 60-65°C. That way, the boiler turns off, using less power, but the water is hot enough to do the job when it comes time to get clean!

Thanks, Goldilocks, we mean Neil. Great tip!
